Harrogate, TN. - Coker Women's Soccer saw its 2024 season come to an end Saturday at Lincoln memorial, as the Railsplitters won in a penalty shootout. After 110 minutes of game play, the two teams went into a penalty shootout that saw LMU edge Coker to take the opening round of the SAC tournament.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
The Railsplitters jumped out to an early 1-0 lead in Saturday's SAC quarterfinal match, when Ryan Branson put in her sixth goal on the year.
Coker, who has shown fight all season when getting down, continued to do so Saturday night. Lily Borgman put a ball into the back of the net just three minutes later, after Maia Clark played a perfect ball.
From there, the two teams exchanged chances throughout the night, but it was both team's defenses stepping up to the challenge.
Rhyan Parkin was sensational in goal for the second straight match, saving 15 shots on the night.
At the end of regulation, Coker had a chance when Mac Gies missed just wide in the right corner.
The two teams took their early goals into overtime, each team needing just one goal to move onto the next round.
In overtime, Coker who used every ounce of energy throughout, had a chance in the final minutes as Maia Clark put a ball on frame, but was denied to ultimately send the game into PK's.
In PK's LMU led off putting their first shot into the back of the net. Chloe Mullen stepped in for the Cobras first and put her chance in as well.
After going back multiple and forth throughout the first few rounds, it was Bente Latenstein for Lincoln Memorial saving the day, as she saved the game winning PK to advance the railsplitters over the Cobras.
Coker ends its season at 9-5-3 with a conference record of 5-5-1.
