Hartsville, SC. - Coker scored five goals, four of which were by different players, as they powered past Allen 5-0 Tuesday evening. The Cobras used a season high, 25 players to help down the yellow jackets. 

 

HOW IT HAPPENED:
Coker jumped out to an early 1-0 lead, as Mila Rausch placed a ball from Kelsey Smith into the back of the net to score her first goal of the night. 


Freshman Maia Clark, who is coming off of being named SAC offensive player of the week, picked up where she left off 18 minutes in when she put a Lily Borgman ball into the net to give Coker a 2-0 lead.

 

The Cobras continued to extend their lead before the half, when Rausch added her second goal of the night.

 

At the half, Coker placed three of their seven shots on goal into the back of the net to take a commanding 3-0 lead. On the defensive side of the ball, Rhyan Parkin put a clean sheet through the first 45 minutes, saving her lone chance.

 

Coker picked up where they left off two minutes into the second half, as Abbey Harland put her first goal of the season into the net. 

 

Tiara Perez capped the Coker scoring off with a goal in the 77th minute to give Coker a 5-0 win. 

 

Senior Daelynn Perry was phenominal in the second half, helping pitch the shutout with a career high, six saves. 

 

Coker moves to 8-4-2 overal on the season as they head into the final two weeks of conference play.

Coker travels to Mars Hill Friday night for their final road match of the season. Kickoff is set for 5 pm.
