Coker's Samantha Hoffman Named to All-South Atlantic Conference Second Team

ROCK HILL, S.C.- Coker College women's soccer goal keeper Samantha Hoffman has been named to the 2017 All-South Atlantic Conference Second Team, the conference office announced today.

Samantha Hoffman is a true freshman goal keeper for the Cobras and held her own in goal this past season. The Newnan, Ga. native played in 12 games with 10 starts for Coker this season. She spent a total of 1001:18 minutes between the pipes for head coach Debbie McGuinness collecting 77 saves, good for fifth overall in the SAC. In addition, Hoffman earned a win and three shutouts. On Oct. 4, Hoffman made a career-high 12 saves against Wingate.

"Samantha has been one of our most consistent players on the pitch this year," said head women's soccer coach Debbie McGuinness. "This award is certainly well deserved for Samantha's solid play between the pipes and I'm very proud of her. We are excited to see her progress as a player throughout her collegiate career."
