Women’s Soccer Suffers 3-0 Conference Loss to Wingate

HARTSVILLE, S.C.- The Coker College women's soccer team played host to the Wingate University Bulldogs and fell 3-0 in a South Atlantic Conference match Wednesday (Oct. 4) at the Coker Athletic Field. 

After a scoreless first half, the Cobras and Samantha Hoffman held the Bulldogs goalless until the 59th minute. Wingate recorded two more goals in the match to take the 3-0 victory.

Hoffman had 12 saves in goal for Coker, while Claire Slamka and Phoebie Eshen both fired a shot.

The Navy and Gold will be back in action on Sunday (Oct. 8) when they travel to Tusculum to take on the Pioneers at 7:00 p.m.
