HARTSVILLE, S.C.- The Coker women's soccer team dropped its South Atlantic Conference match to visiting Tusculum 2-0 on Wednesday (Oct. 12).
The Cobras defense was stout in the first half, playing the visitors to a scoreless tie at halftime. Two second half goals allowed the Pioneers to pull away, despite a Cobras push in the final few minutes.
Farrah Brown fired four shots, one on goal, and Phoebie Eshen added another shot on goal. Shelby Middleton was exceptional in goal, stopping 13 Pioneers shots in the effort.
The Cobras will hit the road to take on Lincoln Memorial on Saturday (Oct. 15) in South Atlantic Conference action. Kickoff is set for 1:00 p.m.
