Women's Soccer Adds Six

HARTSVILLE, S.C.- Coker women's soccer added six pieces to its 2016-17 recruiting class in Ashley Hogg, Grayson Chappell, Jenna Collins, Marisa Kaufman, Neely Reagin and Kayla Harris. The group signed to wear Coker navy and gold on the soccer field.

Hogg journeys to Hartsville from Fort Mill High School where she was a member of the 2015 Yellow Jackets team that advanced all the way to the Region 3 AAA tournament. The Fort Mill, S.C. native is the daughter of Matt and Jo Anne Hogg and plans to study early childhood education. 

Chappell joins the navy and gold after a four-year soccer career with the South Pointe Stallions. Chappell scored 47 goals her junior season and dished out 21 assists setting a new school record. She was a runner-up for AAA Player of the Year and the first girl from South Pointe High School to earn an AAA All-State team selection.  She was voted All-Region four times, named MVP three times and named team captain all four years. She was a three-time All-Area selection, two-time CAWS Player of the Year finalist and was selected as a SCHSL Scholar Athlete. The Rock Hill, S.C. native is the daughter of Dwayne and Katie Chappell and plans to major in studio art and graphic design.

Collins comes to Coker from Marvin Ridge High School where she played soccer and ran track for the Mavericks. The Fort Mill, S.C. native is the daughter of Suzanne and Dave Collins, and plans to study medicine. 

Kaufman comes to Hartsville from Lee County High School where she was a member of the Yellow Jackets soccer team. She was a two-time All-Conference second team selection. The Sanford, N.C. native is the daughter of Matt and Dana Kaufman and plans to study political science.

Reagin begins her college career after playing soccer and cheering for the Greenwood High School Eagles. She was a four-year member of the Greenwood soccer team and named to the All-Lakelands team in 2015. The Greenwood, S.C. native is the daughter of Patty and Grant Reagin and plans to study biology. 

Harris comes to Coker after a four-year varsity career at Saint Joseph High School. She was named Rookie of the Year as a freshman and Most Versatile Player as a junior. She was also named team captain as a senior. She received Athlete of the Month honors once as a junior and once as a senior, earning four varsity letters. She was a member of four New Jersey state playoff teams, her sophomore and junior years they went all the way to the South Jersey semi-finals. As a sophomore she was a Cape-Atlantic Second Team All-Star. Academically she earned a 3.7 GPA and was an honor roll recipient. The Mount Royal, N.J. native is the daughter of Barbara McClintock Harris and Rob Harris and plans to study criminology.
