HARTSVILLE, S.C. - A hat trick from Anna Vig along with goals from Ariana Tashjian, Renee Ledesma and Katie Cooper powered Coker women's soccer past Chowan 6-1 on Wednesday (Oct. 14).

Vig opened the scoring in the eighth minute when a feed from Batavia Mata found her foot from across the box. Coker would tally the next two goals from Ariana Tashjian (1) and Renee Ledesma (3). The Cobras would take the 3-1 lead to the half. Early in the second, Katie Cooper was the only player to get a foot on a cross and was able to tap it home for her first of the year. Vig notched her second and third of the game, and fifth and sixth of the season just minutes apart later on.

Shelby Middleton earned her fourth win of the year, making one save in the contest.

The Cobras will be back at home Saturday when they host Lincoln Memorial. Kick-off is at 1:00 p.m. at the Coker College Soccer field.
