Coker Welcomes Chowan for Midweek Non-conference Tilt

HARTSVILLE, S.C.- The Coker women's soccer team will play host to Chowan in a non-conference matchup on Wednesday (Oct. 14). Video and live stats for the match will be available at www.cokercobras.com.

Coker is led offensively by Anna Vig, who has registered three goals on the season. Batavia Mata has also notched seven points. In goal the Cobras turn to Shelby Middleton, who has made 63 saves in 10 games and owns a .708 save percentage along with a 2.65 goals against average.

Chowan looks to Christine Chubb offensively to get things going. The freshman leads the team in both goals (4) and points (8). Marissa Ghani anchors the Hawks in goal, starting in 10 of the team's 11 games played. The senior has collected 89 saves and owns a .761 save percentage and a 3.23 goals against average.

This is the second annual prostate cancer awareness game hosted by the Coker women's soccer team. Kick-off is slated for 7:00 p.m. at the Coker College soccer fields. Tickets for the match are $5 for adults, $3 for students and free to all Coker faculty, staff and students.
