Women’s Soccer Has Trio Tabbed All-Conference

HARTSVILLE, S.C. – A trio of Coker College women's soccer players were named all-conference performers by the South Atlantic Conference today.

Lizz Morris led the way with her first-team selection as a goalkeeper, while Jalynn Fortt and Jordan Roy and were named honorable mentions as defenders.

Morris compiled 156 saves on the season, which ranked first in the SAC and NCAA Division II, and registered five shutouts. Her five shutouts were good for third in the conference.

A junior from Stillwater, N.Y., Morris is a biology major with a pre-medical concentration. She is the daughter of Frederick and Karen Morris and Maria and Dave Goyer.

Fortt, a Conference Carolinas third team all-conference selection a year ago, was the team's offensive playmaker in 2013. She registered two goals and three assists to lead the team with seven points.

Originally from Auora, Colo., Fortt is a sophomore business administration major. She is the daughter of Reuben and Michelle Fortt.

Roy, a defender by trade, doubled as an offensive weapon this season. She led the Cobras' offense with three goals, two of which were game-winners.

A native of Orlando, Fla., Roy is a freshman physical education and sport studies major with a concentration in sports management. She is the daughter of Craig and Lynn Roy.
