Wrestling Drops Home Opener to UNC Pembroke
Coker University Men's Wrestling is unable to bring in a win for their first meet at home.
Hartsville, S.C.: Coker University Wrestling dropped its home opener to UNC Pembroke Thursday night (Nov. 10th) by a score of 39-6.
In the match-up against UNC Pembroke for the second time in a week, the Cobras did not compete as well as they did the first time. The Braves had an early jump on the Cobras, Logan Seliga defeating Corey Gallivan (TF 15-0). Brandon Dasen was also unable to defeat UNC Pembroke's Logan Robinson and left the match with a score of 16-1. Coker was able to land their first victory of the night by forfeit (Trey Weinell), but it was short lived as UNC Pembroke landed a seven consecutive wins. The Cobras ended with a final score of six, and the Braves with thirty-nine.
The Coker University Men's Wreslting Team will be returning to the mat November 13th at the Cougar Open. The meet will take place in Virginia. Live stats and streaming will be available at www.cokercobras.com
