Christie, Perkins-Willett Named to South Atlantic Conference Carolinas All-Conference Second Team

FULL SOUTH ATLANTIC CONFERENCE CAROLINAS RELEASE

GREENVILLE, S.C. - Coker University wrestlers Corey Christie and Corey Perkins-Willett were named to the South Atlantic Conference Carolinas All-Conference Second Team, announced by the league today (Friday, Mar. 5).

Christie went 2-0 on the year in conference competition, picking up one win by technical fall and one win by fall. Christie went on to finish third at the Super Region II tournament, going 3-1 on the day.

This is Christie's first career All-Conference selection.

The Lower Burrell, Pa. native is the son of James and Lori Christie, and is a biology major.

Perkins-Willett posted a 2-1 mark on the season in conference action, picking up one win by major decision and one win by fall. Perkins-Willett went on to finish fourth at the Super Region II tournament, going 3-2 on the day.

This is Perkins-Willett's second career All-Conference selection, as he was selected to the All-Conference Second Team a season ago. 

The Harvey, Ill. native is the son of Gina Strong and Ryan Willett, and is a marketing major.
