Innocent Ranked 14th, Correa Ranked Seventh in Latest The Open Mat Individual Rankings

CULVER CITY, Calif. - Coker wrestlers Jhavon Innocent and Ramon Correa were recognized in the most recent individual rankings published by The Open Mat, announced by the organization back on Nov. 29. Innocent was ranked No. 14 at 174 pounds, while Correa was tabbed No. 7 at 285 pounds. 

 Innocent has posted an 8-1 record on the season at 174 pounds, with a perfect 3-0 record in dual matches and also one win by technical fall. Innocent is also ranked No. 12 in the country at 174 pounds by FloWrestling's national poll.  

Correa is 3-0 on the season with three wins by fall. Correa has yet to wrestle a match into the third period this season. Correa is also the No. 1 ranked heavyweight wrestler in Super Region II, while ranking No. 9 in the National Wrestling Coaches' Association (NWCA) national poll and No. 8 by FloWrestling's national poll. 

The Cobras are back on the mat for the prestigious Midwest Classic, hosted by the University of Indianapolis from Dec. 14-15.
