Wrestling Falls to King University 25-18

BRISTOL, Tenn. - The Coker College wrestling team fell on the road at King University on Sunday (Feb. 10), with the Tornado winning by a score of 25-18.

Chris Poland picked up a 6-2 decision at 133 pounds to knot the dual up at three before King rallied off a pair of wins to put them up by six. The King lead would not last long as Bret Shurina came up big with a first period pin at 157 pounds and Corey Christie would grab six more points due to a forfeit at 166 pounds. Marco Mason Jr. took a 7-2 decision at 184 pounds to give Coker a three point edge before the Tornado finished strong to take the dual 25-18.

The Cobras will be back in action on Thursday (Feb. 14) when they take on Liberty at home on Valentine's Day starting at 6:30 PM.
