PEMBROKE, N.C.- The Coker College wrestling team returned to ECAC action on Tuesday (Feb. 6) night with a dual against UNC Pembroke. The Cobras fell behind early and lost the dual 33-12.
Bret Shurina put Coker on the board in his 157 pound bout with a 7-4 decision. Luis Peguero (the No. 4 ranked wrestler in the country) earned a close 4-1 decision against his Braves opponent. Robert Parland was granted the victory in his match due to a medical forfeit.
Coker takes to the mat again on Tuesday (Feb. 13) in a conference dual at Newberry. The match versus the Wolves is set to begin at 7:00 p.m.
