DANBURY, CT- Coker Wrestling's Ian Maund was selected as Rookie of the Month for January, as announced today by the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC).
Maund went 4-2 in the month of January, going 4-0 at the Super Region II Duals, hosted by Belmont Abbey. He earned three decisions against opponents from #4 Ashland, #18 Findlay, and #t-23 Lake Erie. Maund also pinned his opponent from Tiffin in under six minutes at the Duals.
On the season, Maund is 7-5, recording five decisions and two falls.
The Sullivan, Ohio native is the son of Rebecca and Thomas Maund and is undecided in his major.
The Cobras will travel to North Carolina to clash with the Braves of UNC Pembroke in an ECAC dual on Tuesday, Feb. 6. The match is set to start at 7:00 p.m.
