Peguero Rises to Fourth Nationally

FAYETTE, IOWA - Coker wrestling's Luis Peguero ranks fourth nationally in the 197 weight class as of Jan. 18, according to the NCAA Division II Wrestling Coaches Association. This is the third ranking release of the season and the second appearance on the list for Peguero.

Peguero has completed in one match thus far in January. He wrestled against the previous No. 4, Matt Rudy from Limestone, earning a sudden victory by a score of 5-4.

On the season, Peguero has 17 wins, including four falls, one major decision, and 10 decisions. In his Cobra career, he is tied for second all-time with 57 wins, by way of 12 pins, two technical falls, seven major decisions, and 29 decisions.
