Baxter Inks Six

HARTSVILLE, S.C. – Coker College head wrestling coach Michael Baxter announced the addition of Hunter Corwin, Chris Coyle, Drew Crabtree, Noah Kile, Michael Milam, and Otto Wolin to the 2017-18 roster.

Corwin attends Union Pines High School, where he is a member of the wrestling and football teams for the Vikings. Corwin, a projected 165 pounder, is a district and conference champion, a Far East runner-up, and has been a team captain for the wrestling team the past two seasons. The Whispering Pines, N.C. native has earned all-conference academic honors and has been named to the Honor Roll. He is the son of Rocky and Michelle Corwin and plans to major in business.

Coyle attends Patchogue-Medford High School, where he is a member of the wrestling team for the Raiders. Coyle, a projected 184/197 pounder, is a League 1 champion, a team captain for the wrestling team, and a fifth place finisher at the competitive War at the Shore tournament. The Medford, N.Y. native is a four-year member of the Honor Roll and is the son of Chris and Louisa Coyle. He plans to major in social work.

Crabtree attends Perkins High School, where he is a member of the football, wrestling, and baseball teams for the Perkins. Crabtree, a projected 133/141 pounder, is a 2017 state place-winner and captain for both the wrestling and football teams. The Sandusky, Ohio native is an Academic All-Ohio selection, an Honor Roll student, and a member of the National Honors Society. He is the son of Travis and Nicole Crabtree and he plans to major in education.

Kile attends Blessed Trinity Catholic High School and is a member of the wrestling team. The Roswell, Ga. native placed second twice, third, and fourth in the Georgia state championships.

Milam attends Saint Albans High School, where he is a member of the wrestling team for the Dragons. Milam, a projected 165 pounder, is a state runner-up. The Hurricane, W.Va. native is a member of the Honor Roll and is the son of Harold and Angela Milam. In addition, Milam plans to major in business.

Wolin attends Carrboro High School, where he is a member of the wrestling team for the Jaguars. Wolin, a projected 133 pounder, is a four-time North Carolina state qualifier and placed fourth in 2017. In addition, Wolin compiled an impressive 143-46 career record and was a team captain his senior year. The Chapel Hill, N.C. native is a member of the National Technical Honors Society and is the son of Heidi Wolin and Forrest Card. 

When asked about his most recent group of signees, head coach Michael Baxter said, "I am very excited about this group of incoming student-athletes. They are ready to come in and make an immediate impact on the mat, in the classroom, around the Coker College campus, and in the Hartsville community."
