HARTSVILLE, S.C. – The Coker College wrestling team fell to UNC Pembroke in ECAC action 36-6 Monday (Feb. 6) night in the DeLoach Center. Jordon Tague and Tyvon Leacock both earned victories during the dual meet.

Tague put the first points on the board for Coker with a 10-5 decision at 165 pounds. The Cobra grappler used a couple of double legs to secure takedowns throughout the match that led to his victory.

The final victory of the night for Coker came at 285 pounds from Tyvon Leacock. An early first period takedown put Leacock ahead in the match. However, Bryce Walker battled back to trail Leacock in the third period by one point. Next, Leacock fought off a takedown attempt in the final period and threw Walker to his back to seal the match victory.

The Cobras will return to the mat on Monday, Feb. 13 when they host No. 18 Newberry in their final dual meet of the season.
