HARTSVILLE, S.C. – The Coker wrestling team will host the inaugural Coker Duals on Friday (Jan. 9). Seven teams from Georgia, Tennessee, North Carolina and South Carolina will travel to Hartsville to take part in the one-day event.

The Cobras will face Truett-McConnell College, Brewton Parker College and King University. Also participating in the duals will be Belmont Abbey College, Limestone College and Shorter University.

Coker has already faced Truett-McConnell once this season, defeating them 38-3 at the Newberry Duals on Nov. 29. This will be the first meeting of the season between the Cobras and Brewton Parker. Last season, Brewton Parker narrowly defeated Coker 19-18. This will also be Coker's first meeting of the season against King. Last year the Cobras and the Tornado split their two matches, with the home team winning each match. The Coker won 23-15 and King won 24-21.

The duals will begin at 10 a.m. at Coker's DeLoach Center. Tickets are $5 for adults, $3 for students and free for all Coker faculty, staff and students.
