HARTSVILLE, S.C. – The Coker Cobra wrestling team stayed at No. 7 in the latest Super Region Two rankings released on Monday. In addition to the team ranking, six Cobras are ranked in the top six in the weight class individually.

Leading the way individually are Derek Rothermel and Robert Parland. Both wrestlers are ranked No. 3 in their respective weight classes. Rothermel earned his first ranking of the season after posting a 9-1 record at the 157-pound weight class so far this season. Seven of his nine wins are by pin. At the 197-pound division Parland is also 9-1 on the year with three victories by pin.

Kevin Thompson moved up two spots to No. 4 in the 141-pound division. So far this season, Thompson is a perfect 6-0 with three pins.

Travis Laxton and Alex Green both earned No. 5 rankings at the 125-pound and 285-pound divisions, respectively. Laxton is 9-2 on the year and he won the 125-pound division at the Citadel Open. Green has posted a record of 5-1 so far this season.

Rounding out the ranked Cobras is Derrick Nelson with a No. 6 ranking at the 133-pound weight class. This is Nelson's first ranking of the season. He is currently 5-0 with three pins.

The Cobras will return to action on Wednesday (Dec. 3) in a dual match against St. Andrews University. The match is scheduled to begin at 8 p.m. at St. Andrews.
