Kent Selected to IWLCA All Star Game

GRAND LAKE, CO -- Coker College women's lacrosse star Faith Kent has been named to the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) 2019 Senior All-Star Team, as announced on Friday, May 24. Kent is one of just 44 players in all of Division II women's lacrosse to be selected for this year's all-star game.

The 44 players selected in each Division have been divided into two teams: North and South. The Senior All-Star games will be held on Tierney Field at US Lacrosse Headquarters in Sparks, Md. on Saturday, June 1, 2019. The Division III teams will play the first game at 11:30 am, the Division I game will follow at 1:00 pm, and the Division II teams will cap off the event with their game at 2:30 pm. Admission for all three games is free of charge. The games will also be web-streamed live on IWLCA-tv.com.

Kent has been selected to the south team where she'll be coached by Kelly Gallagher from the University of Tampa. She'll be joined by five teammates from various South Atlantic Conference opponents as they take on a north team coached by West Chester University's Ginny Martino.

Kent enjoyed a historic senior season, nabbing All-SAC First Team honors for the third consecutive year, and earning the C.G. Timberlake Female Athlete of the Year award at the 2019 FANG Awards. She led the South Atlantic Conference in points (82) and goals (60) scored during the regular season, and finished her career as Coker's points, goals, and assists leader. The Winter Springs, Fla. native also set the school's single-game records in both goals and points this season.
