Kent, Baronella-O'Toole, and Baird Earn South Atlantic Conference Honors

HARTSVILLE, S.C. -- The Coker College women's lacrosse team had three players receive South Atlantic Conference awards, the conference announced Wednesday (Apr. 24).

Faith Kent nabbed All-SAC First Team honors for the third consecutive year, capping off a historic final season for the Cobras. Kent led the conference in points (82) and goals (60) scored during the regular season, and finished her career as Coker's points, goals, and assists leader. The Winter Springs, Fla. native also set the school's single-game records in both goals and points this season.

Alyssa Baronella-O'Toole and Hannah Baird were awarded All-SAC Honorable Mentions awards for their outstanding play for the navy and gold during the 2019 season.

Baronella-O'Toole scored 25 goals, and dished out five assists for the Cobras. She finished third on the team in caused turnovers (18), and second in draw controls (60). A two-sport star out of Severn, Md., Baronella-O'Toole also earned all-conference honors for her work on the Coker field hockey team in the fall.

Baird was the undisputed leader of the Coker defense this season. She started all 15 games, collecting 15 ground balls, and causing nine turnovers. The junior from Fort Mill, S.C. set career highs in all statistical categories in during the 2019 season. This marks her first South Atlantic Conference all-conference award.
