Kent Sets Career Goals Record, Cobras Down Erskine 24-11

HARTSVILLE, S.C. -- The Coker College women's lacrosse team downed Erskine 24-11 in a non-conference contest on Wednesday (Mar. 27).

Faith Kent set the Coker career goals record with her first goal of the game, just 5:08 into the first half. Kent surpassed Haley McCusker's previous record of 212 career goals, and then added five more for a total of six goals and one assist in the contest.

The Cobras dominated throughout, scoring the second most goals in school history, just one shy of the 25 goals they scored against Newberry last Tuesday (Mar. 19).

Alyssa Baronella-O'Toole scored a career-high five goals, and Hannah Shuren and Meagan Gallagher added four goals apiece. Eight different Cobras scored in the game, including two from Alexis Zegan, one each from Amariah Lawson, Reagan Parr, and Makenzie Stroup.

Freshman Olivia Fladung was terrific in goal for the Cobras, racking up seven saves, and allowing just 11 goals.

Coker will be back in action on Saturday (Mar. 30) when they travel to Charlotte to face Queens in South Atlantic Conference action at 1:00 p.m.
