Women's Lacrosse Announces Pair of Signings for 2019-20

HARTSVILLE, S.C. -- Coker College head women's lacrosse coach, Chelsea Kent announced that Abby Gross (Myrtle Beach, S.C.), and Abby Kellner (Marietta, Ga.) have signed to play lacrosse at Coker beginning in 2019-20.

"I am extremely excited to welcome both Abby Kellner and Abby Gross to our Coker family next year", said Kent. "I know they will integrate very well with our returners."

Gross is a midfielder from Myrtle Beach, South Carolina where she played lacrosse for the Carolina Forest High School Panthers. She was the captain of her high school team, and a member of DECA. Gross was also a member of the Myrtle Beach Wave travel lacrosse program. She plans to major in education while attending Coker. Coach Kent said "Abby Gross' talent, work ethic, and attitude make her an all-around asset on the field. I look forward to seeing her excel at the collegiate level."

Kellner is a goalie from Marietta, Georgia where she played lacrosse for the Walton High School Raiders. Her team won the Georgia High School 7A Championship, and she was a member of Young Life. Kellner was also a member of the Hotlanta travel lacrosse program based out of Marietta, Georgia. She plans to major in business while attending Coker. Coach Kent said "We are extremely fortunate to add Abby Kellner as a goalie for the next four years. She has a great attitude, she is very skilled, and her composure in cage is unmatched." 

The Cobras begin their 2019 season on the road against Southern Wesleyan on February 2nd at 11:00 am.
