McCusker Caps Off Coker Career with IWLCA All-Star Selection

GRAND LAKE, CO- Coker College women's lacrosse member Haley McCusker has been named to the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) 2018 Senior All-Star Team, as announced on Friday, May 25. McCusker is one of 132 student-athletes selected across all three NCAA divisions to participate.

The 44 players selected in each Division have been divided into two teams: North and South. The Senior All-Star games will be held on Tierney Field at US Lacrosse Headquarters in Sparks, Md. on Saturday, June 2, 2018. The Division I teams will play the first game at 11:30 am, the Division II game will follow at 1:00 pm, and the Division III teams will cap off the event with their game at 2:30 pm. Admission for all three games is free of charge. The games will also be web-streamed live on IWLCA-tv.com.

McCusker will link up with the North team, coached by Meghan McNamara of Long Island University Post at the midfield position.

McCusker earned several accolades in her senior season, such as SAC AstroTurf Offensive Player of the Week honors, First-Team All-Conference honors as a midfielder, and was the second Cobra to reach 200 career points. In statistical standings, McCusker finished first in SAC in free position goals per game (19th nationally), shots per game (fifth nationally), and shots on goal per game (third nationally). She went on to finish second in the SAC in points per game, third in goals per game (eighth nationally) and ground balls per game, and fourth in goals. In McCusker's four-year career, she ranks first in goals at Coker, second in points, points per game, ground balls, and tied second in assists. Additionally, McCusker finished fourth in caused turnovers. For the 2018 season, she stands fourth in points, third in goals, and second in ground balls.

As mentioned, McCusker will play on Saturday, June 2 at approximately 1:00 p.m. in the Division II All-Star game, located on Tierney Field at US Lacrosse Headquarters in Sparks, Md.
