Cobras Downed by League-Leading Bears

HICKORY, N.C.- The Coker College women's lacrosse team faced the South Atlantic Conference leading Lenoir-Rhyne Bears in their final road contest of 2018. The Cobras dropped the game 14-5.

Haley McCusker led the offense with three goals, while Katie Driskell scored the remaining two. Faith Kent added an assist on one of Driskell's goals. McCusker and Kent each controlled four draws, with Driskell and Sarah Bryson adding one a piece. Four Cobras scooped up two ground balls as the team-high (Alexis Zegan, Driskell, Skylar Stowers, Erika Solis, McCusker, and Cassie Williams). Solis led the Cobras with two caused turnovers. Williams finished with 16 saves in the game.

The Navy and Gold will honor Katie Jordan and Haley McCusker on Saturday (April 21) for their Senior Day in Hartsville. Opening draw against Lincoln Memorial is slated for 1:00 p.m.
