Cobras Drop Home SAC Contest to Catawba

HARTSVILLE, S.C.- The Coker College women's lacrosse team played host to the Catawba College Indians on Wednesday, March 28. The Cobras faltered in the second half, losing 21-13.

Coker was led by the offensive charge of Faith Kent and Haley McCusker, scoring six and five goals, respectively. Bri Neily and Sarah Bryson accounted for the remaining two scores. Alexis Zegan, Kent, and Bryson added an assist to their stats, while Bailey O'Brien collected two. Jaeme Noriega scooped up a team-high six ground balls and Katie Driskell had three. Kent controlled an astounding season-high 13 draws, alongside a team-high four caused turnovers. Driskell contributed three caused turnovers. Cassie Williams finished with 18 saves and four ground balls in the loss.

The Navy and Gold stay home once again to take on the Queens University of Charlotte Royals in a SAC game on Saturday, March 31, with a 1:00 p.m. start time. The action will be a part of the LAX-4-Life national campaign to raise awareness for suicide prevention.
