Cobras Fall to the Rams

HARTSVILLE, S.C.- The Coker women's lacrosse team hosted the Shepherd University Rams in non-conference action on Friday (Mar. 16). The Cobras dropped the game 16-8.

Faith Kent and Haley McCusker finished with three goals apiece. Kent tacked on an assist, along with four draw controls. McCusker added three ground balls, seven draw controls, and two caused turnovers. Bailey O'Brien scored the two remaining goals, alongside an assist and a ground ball. Alexis Zegan tallied an assist and a ground ball. Hannah Baird tied two game-highs: five ground balls and three caused turnovers. Katie Jordan and Erika Solis also finished with two caused turnovers. Sarah Bryson controlled the remaining three draws. Cassie Williams collected 12 saves, five ground balls, and caused a turnover.

The Navy and Gold take the field again on Wednesday (Mar. 21) at Newberry to open up their conference schedule. Opening draw versus the Wolves is set for 5:00 p.m.
