Kent Surpasses 200 Career Points, Cobras Fall to Oilers

HARTSVILLE, S.C.- The Coker women's lacrosse team collided with the Findlay Oilers on Friday (Mar. 9) afternoon in a non-conference game, but the Cobras fell short.

Faith Kent headed up the Coker offense once again with three goals and three assists. She also picked up a ground ball, controlled five draws, and caused a turnover. Kent holds the all-time point record for Coker after passing the 200 career point plateau in the game with 128 goals and 77 assists. Haley McCusker is close behind in career points with 192, after scoring three goals and adding an assist, while scooping up two ground balls and six draw controls. Off of two straight Kent assists, Jaeme Noriega found the back of the net twice. Noriega caused a team-high turnovers along with a ground ball. Cassie Williams grabbed two ground balls and finished with 11 saves in the losing effort.

The Navy and Gold returns to home field for their next game on Friday (Mar. 16) versus Shepherd. Opening draw is set for noon.
