Cobras Host Oilers in Non-Conference Action

HARTSVILLE, S.C.- The Coker women's lacrosse team brings in the University of Findlay to the Coker Athletic Field on Friday (Mar. 9).

Faith Kent is leading the Cobra attack with an impressive 30 points on 21 goals and nine assists. She has also scooped up four ground balls, controlled 16 draws, and caused a turnover. Kent is shooting 73.8 percent on goal and 50.0 overall. Haley McCusker has 14 points via 12 goals and two assists (both to Kent). She has picked up a team-high 16 ground balls, controlled a team-high 19 draws, and caused four turnovers. McCusker is shooting 78.3 percent on goal and 52.2 percent overall. Katie Driskell is leading the Cobras by a wide margin in caused turnovers with 11, also adding six goals and five assists while collected 13 ground balls. Cassie Williams has played every minute in goal for the Navy and Gold. She saved 44 goals throughout the four games.

The Oilers come to Coker with a 2-0 record. They are led offensively by Brie Caruso and Olivia Sherman, who each have nine points thus far. Their goalkeeper, Claire Ferrell has only relented eight goals while saving 16 attempts.

Opening draw against Findlay is scheduled for noon. Tickets for the game are $5 for adults, $3 for students and free to all Coker faculty, staff and students.
