HARTSVILLE, S.C.- Coker women's lacrosse picked up a 14-11 non-conference win over North Greenville on Saturday (Feb. 25).

Coker came out firing, scoring the first five goals of the contest. Faith Kent got the scoring started, before Kent would pick up an assist on Bailey O'Brien's second goal of the season. A goal by Claudia Jenkins followed by a pair from Haley McCusker put the Cobras up 5-0 with 14 minutes left in the first half. North Greenville would find their offensive groove, and the teams would trade goals through the end of the first half. At the break, Coker led 9-5.

Haley McCusker started off the second half with her hat trick goal, before two North Greenville goals would get the Crusaders within three. That is as close as the visitors would get, as Coker stayed ahead behind three more goals from McCusker including the goal at 10:37 of the second half that marked McCusker's 100th career point in Coker Navy and Gold.

McCusker totaled six goals in the contest, aided by Kent's four. Jenkins would record a hat trick and also notch her 100th career point in the win. Cassie Williams (2-1) made 11 saves between the pipes.

The Cobras (2-1) open conference play next Saturday (March 4) when they host Lenoir-Rhyne at 1:00 p.m.
