Cobras Host North Greenville in Non-Conference Action Saturday

HARTSVILLE, S.C.- Coker women's lacrosse will take on North Greenville in a non-conference tilt on Saturday (Feb. 25). Video and live stats will be available at www.cokercobras.com.

The Cobras (1-1) last played last Thursday (Feb. 16) when they defeated Columbia College 17-7. Haley McCusker finished with a team-high five goals, while Mackenzie Baker tallied four markers and one helper. Claudia Jenkins netted a hat trick, while Marabeth Durden and Faith Kent each scored twice. Cassie Williams (1-1) picked up her first collegiate win in the cage, stopping five shots.

On the season, McCusker is tied for third in the SAC with six goals on the year. Kent is tied for third in assists with three, while Williams is second in the league in saves with 20. The freshman backstop is also fifth in the conference in save percentage at 45.5 percent. 

The Crusaders come into the matchup 1-1 on the year and 0-1 in Conference Carolinas. They are led offensively by Hanna Hawkins, who has netted seven goals on the season.

Opening draw is set for 4:00 p.m. at the Coker Athletic Field. Tickets for the game are $5 for adults, $3 for students and free to all Coker faculty, staff and students.
