Cobras Fall to Trojans in Season Opener

MOUNT OLIVE, N.C.- Coker women's lacrosse dropped its season opener to Mount Olive 17-6 on Saturday (Feb. 11).

The Trojans jumped out to a 4-0 lead before Faith Kent found Marabeth Durden for the first goal of 2017.

Kent would go on to register a hat trick in the second half, along with goals from Haley McCusker and Katie Driskell.

Cassie Williams made 15 saves between the pipes in the contest.

The Cobras are back at home on Thursday (Feb. 16) when they host Columbia College (S.C.). Opening draw is set for 6:00 p.m. at the Coker Athletic Field. Tickets for the game are $5 for adults, $3 for students and free to all Coker faculty, staff and students.
