Cobras' Home Winning Streak Snapped in SAC Loss to Bears

HARTSVILLE, S.C. – The Coker women's lacrosse team had its six-game home winning streak snapped on Wednesday (Apr. 1) afternoon by Lenoir-Rhyne University in a 20-11 South Atlantic Conference loss.

Claudia Jenkins scored three goals and collected three draw controls, while Shannon Jessop, Mackenzie Baker and Danielle Holcomb each scored two goals apiece. Rounding out the scoring for the Cobras was Millie Rogers and Haley McCusker with one goal each. Defensively, Kaitlyn Kimball caused two turnovers, while Kaitlyn Vela made eight saves in 60 minutes of action.

Coker will play host to the Pioneers of Tusculum College Saturday (Apr. 4) in SAC action. The game will be senior day for the Cobras and is slated for a 1 p.m. start.
