Cobras Go for Seventh Straight at Home Against Bears

HARTSVILLE, S.C. – Reigning SAC Defensive Player of the Week Marabeth Durden and the Coker women's lacrosse team will be looking for its seventh consecutive home win against the Lenoir-Rhyne Bears on Wednesday (Apr. 1) afternoon. Durden heads the Coker defense with 18 caused turnovers and ranks fourth on the team with 36 ground balls, while adding 16 points on 13 goals and three assists. Offensively, the Navy and Yellow are led by do-it-all midfielder Claudia Jenkins who has tallied a team-high 37 points on a team-leading 31 goals and six assists. Sophomore attack Danielle Holcomb leads the team with 12 assists to go along with 24 goals for 36 points. Haley McCusker and Mackenzie Baker round out the Cobras balanced attack with 35 points on 25 goals and 10 assists and 33 points on 25 goals and eight assists, respectively.

The Bears come to town sporting an even 6-6 record, but are 4-1 in SAC play. Lauren Donovan and Claire Wach lead the way offensively for the Bears with 49 and 39 points, respectively.

The game is set to begin at 3 p.m. at Byerly Park in Hartsville, S.C.
