HARTSVILLE, S.C. – Coker College women's lacrosse player Claudia Jenkins has been named the AstroTurf South Atlantic Conference Women's Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week, the league office announced today.

Jenkins had a record-setting performance in Coker's 18-7 victory over Lees-McRae College on Saturday (Feb. 14). The freshman recorded six goals and dished out two assists for eight points, while adding seven ground balls and six draw controls. Her six goals set a single-game record and her eight points tied a single-game record. 

Currently, Jenkins ranks first in the SAC in ground balls (11), second in points (10) and goals (8), fifth in draw controls (7) and sixth in assists (2).

Jenkins, a midfielder, hails from Keedysville, Md. and is majoring in biology. She is the daughter of Kimberly Thrasher and Joseph Melody.
