Ferone Scores Two in Coker's Loss to Mount Olive

MOUNT OLIVE, N.C. - The Coker women's lacrosse lost a 15-5 non-conference game to Mount Olive on Wednesday (Apr. 16), at Amon Field.

Coker struggled offensively in the first 30-minutes of action, as the Trojans jumped out to a quick 10-3 lead.  Coker would then come out in the second half and hold Mount Olive to only five scores, but the deficite was too much for the offense to overcome as Coker could only produce two more goals.

Hayley Ferone led the Navy and Yellow with two goals on the day.  Mackenzie Baker, Cierra Davis, and Danielle Holcomb each added a goal, with Baker leading the team in the assist category with two.

With the loss, the 2014 Coker women's lacrosse season comes to an end.  In their inagural season, Coker went 3-10 overall including at 2-4 South Atlantic Conference record.
