Baker, Ferone Combine for Six Goals in Loss to Meredith

HILTON HEAD, S.C. -  The Coker women's lacrosse team suffered a 17-9 non conference loss to Meredith College on Monday (Mar. 10).

The Navy and Yellow fell down quickly, as Meredith took a 11-4 goal lead into the break.  Coker would then come out in the second half to score three of the first four goals to cut the lead to just five.  The home team however would score four goals in the last three minutes to finalize the score.

Mackenzie Baker and Hayley Ferone scored three goals apiece to lead the Cobra offense, with Baker chipping in an assist and five draw controls.  Marabeth Durden, Lindsay Ordemann, and Danielle Holcomb all added one goal for the Cobras.

Coker will return home next Wednesday (Mar. 19) to host Kutztown.  Game time is slated for a 4:00 p.m. start time.
