Campbell Notches Runner-Up Finish as Cobras Take Second at the Coker Women's Invitational

HARTSVILLE, S.C. - The Coker College women's golf team finished play at the Coker Women's Invitational on Tuesday (Mar. 19) with a final-round score of 310 (+22) as they finished in second-place, just three shots back of the winners from Anderson. 

Alyssa Campbell followed up her record round yesterday with a 75 (+3) in the final round as she fell just short of the individual title by one stroke. Campbell would claim sole possession of second-place as she finished the tournament at three-over. Bella Harris came back strong on day two with a 76 (+4) as she finished in a tie for fifth at nine-over. Ana Orlov improved on her first round score by four strokes as she fired off a 78 (+6) to tie for 20th while Alicia Fajardo finished tied for 27th after her 81 (+9) today. Kelli Smith rounded out the lineup with an 84 (+12) in the final round to put her in a tie for 34th. Playing as individuals, Samantha Pearson and Jordan White carded scores of 79 (+7) and 86 (+14), respectively.

The Cobras will hit the course next on Monday (Mar. 25) for the opening round of the 2019 Cherokee Valley Women's Invitational.
