Cobras Capture Crown at Converse Fall Invite

SPARTANBURG, S.C. - The Coker College women's golf team ran away with the title on the final day of the Converse Fall Invite, carding a final round score of 321. The Cobras, who entered the day four shots back of the hosts, managed to take the team title by seven strokes.

Bella Harris led the way individually, finishing in a tie for second after following up her first round score of 77 (+5) with an 82 (+10). Ana Orlov rebounded from an 88 (+16) on day one to finish tied for seventh after she recorded 16 pars and finished with a score of 76 (+4). Alicia Fajardo tied with Orlov in seventh after carding two consecutive rounds of 82 (+10). Kelli Smith, who shot an 87 (+15) in round one, shot an 81 (+9) to finish in a tie for 14th. Alyssa Campbell was forced to withdraw due to a wrist injury after shooting an opening round 80 (+8).

The Cobras will travel to Jekyll Island, Georgia for the final tournament of the fall on Monday (Oct. 29) and Tuesday (Oct. 30) to compete in the Jekyll Island Intercollegiate.
