Women's Golf Sits Fourth After Opening Round at Cherokee Valley Women's Invitational

TRAVELERS REST, S.C.- The Coker College women's golf team shot north up to contend at the Cherokee Valley Women's Invitational at Cherokee Valley Golf Club in Travelers Rest, S.C. on Monday, March 26. The Cobras shot a collective team score of 342 in the opening round sitting in fourth place overall. 

Angela Luna led the way for the Cobras in the opening round, firing off a 79 (+7) on Monday, sitting in third overall heading into the clubhouse.

Kelli Smith and Ana Orlov corralled top-30 individual placements after round one with scores of 86 and 88 respectively.

Margaret Mills and Taylor Mayers bookended play for the Cobras signing off on a round score of 89 and 92.

The Navy and Gold will take on the second round of the Cherokee Valley Women's Invitational from Travelers Rest, S.C. on Tuesday, March 27. Results from the tournament can be found by visiting www.cokercobras.com.
