Women's Golf Sits Tied for Seventh After Round One at Wingate Lady Bulldog Intercollegiate

MONROE, N.C.- The Coker College women's golf team took on the challenge at the Wingate Lady Bulldog Intercollegiate on Monday, March 19 at Rolling Hills Country Club in Monroe, N.C. After the opening round, Coker sits tied for seventh with a total team score of 329. 

Taylor Mayers, Kelli Smith and Samantha Pearson all shot first round scores of 82 (+10). Pearson pared six holes on the back nine, while smith and Mayers collected 14 pars between the two on day one in Monroe.

Angela Luna was just one shot back on her teammates, firing away with a first round 83. Ana Orlov followed with an 86.

The Navy and Gold will wrap up play from the Wingate Lady Bulldog Invitational on Tuesday, March 20, with the final round of play from Rolling Hills Country Club. Results from the round can be found by visiting www.cokercobras.com.
