Women's Golf Ready to Defend Coker Cobra Women's Golf Invitational Title

HARTSVILLE, S.C. – The Coker College women's golf team will play hosts in their own tournament that will be held at Hartsville Country Club on Monday and Tuesday, March 12 and 13. The Cobras will try to defend their title, as the women shot a team score of 648 for two rounds, holding on for an eight-shot victory last season. 

Coker last played February 26-27 at the Lincoln Memorial University Women's Spring Intercollegiate and brought home a ninth place finish. Angela Luna and Ana Orlov led the Cobras with tournament scores of 155 each, as they both tied for 14th in individual play.

Samantha Pearson and Amber Winburn carded overall scores of 164 and 165, while Kelli Smith had a two-round score of 168.

The Navy and Gold will seek to defend their title on Monday and Tuesday, March 12 and 13, at the Hartsville Country Club in Hartsville, S.C. Results from the matches can be found by visiting www.cokercobras.com.
