ORANGE PARK, FLA.- The Coker College women's golf team shot a collective score of 637, placing them in ninth at the LMU Women's Spring Intercollegiate at Fleming Island Golf Club in Orange Park, Fla. on Tuesday (Feb. 27). Angela Luna and Ana Orlov led the Cobras in their first tournament of the spring.
Senior Angela Luna fired a first round 75 (+4) and second round 80 (+9). Ana Orlov carded a 77 (+6) and 78. (+7) Luna and Orlov finished tied for 14th in individual play with overall scores of 155.
Samantha Pearson and Amber Winburn carded overall scores of 164 and 165, while Kelli Smith had a two-round score of 168.
The Navy and Gold will return home to host the Coker Cobra Women's Golf Invitational, where they will be defending their title from last season. The tournament will take place on Monday and Tuesday March 12 & 13 at the Hartsville Country Club. Results from the match can be found by visiting www.cokercobras.com.
