Cobras Sit 12th After Opening Round at Myrtle Beach Intercollegiate

SUNSET BEACH, N.C.- After one round of play at Panther's Run Club the Coker College women's golf team sits 12th at the Myrtle Beach Intercollegiate. Finishing with a combined team score of 328 (+40) on Monday (Oct. 2), Angela Luna rebounded on the back nine helping place Coker in position for a second-round charge on Tuesday (Oct. 3). 

Angela Luna led the way for the Navy and Gold posting a first round 79 (+7), while shooting three-under with four birdies on the back nine. Sitting tied for 27th, Luna is six shots off of the tournament leader.

Collectively the rest of the Cobras to include Taylor Mayers, Ana Orlov, Kelli Smith, and Amber Winburn, all shot 82, 83, 84, and 86 respectively.

Round two of the Myrtle Beach Intercollegiate will resume on Tuesday (Oct. 3), teeing off at Panther's Run Golf Course. Live scoring of the event can be found by visiting www.cokercobras.com.
