Cobras Fight Hard in Final Round of the Battle at Old South

BLUFFTON, S.C.- The Coker College women's golf team took on the Battle at Old South for the second and final round at the Old South Golf links on Sunday (Sept. 24) to finish 11th overall for the tournament hosted by UNC Pembroke. 

Angela Luna led the way for the Cobras with scores of 75 and 78 for a 36-hole total of 153 (+9). Kelli Smith and Ana Orlov were both consistent as they posted scores of 155 respectively.

On Sunday Taylor Mayers took the best low-round score for the Navy and Gold firing a second round 75 to wrap up play. Amber Winburn capped off the tournament for Coker with round scores of 87 and 80 for a tournament score of 167.

The Coker College women's golf team's next tournament will be at the Myrtle Beach Intercollegiate hosted at the Lion's Paw Golf Club Oct. 1-3.
