Smith Signs with Coker Women's Golf

HARTSVILLE, S.C. – Coker College interim head women's golf coach Adam Goins announced the addition of Kelli Smith to the 2016-17 Coker women's golf roster.

Smith is from Murrells Inlet, S.C., where she attends St. James High School and is a member of the Sharks girls' golf team. She was a member of the 2015 team that won the AAA state title. She was also a three-time AAA lower state team champion, a three-time Toast of the Coast recipient, a two-time all-state selection and is ranked No. 48 in the latest South Carolina Junior Golf Association rankings.

"Kelli is an excellent player and is exactly what we are looking for to allow our program to grow," said Goins. "She is a high character person and we look forward to watching her grow here at Coker."

She is the daughter of Sherri Smith and Jay Smith. She plans on majoring in criminology.
