Cobras Claim Seventh at SAC Preview

MONROE, N.C. – The Coker College women's golf team shot a final round 333 on Sunday, (Oct. 18) leaving them with a 36-hole team score of 661 and a seventh place finish.

Bella Harris shot a final round 83, which landed her in a tie for seventh individually. She posted a two-day score of 158. Taylor Demby shot the low round of the day for Coker. She fired a closing 79, giving her a 161 tournament total and a 15th place finish. Ana Orlov rebounded from an opening 87 with a final round 82. Tensley Clowser and Taylor Gaskins rounded out the Navy and Gold starting lineup. Clowser carded a final round 93, leaving her with a 177 two-day total, while Gaskins finished with a round of 89 and a 180 tournament score.

Wingate University took home the team title with a two-day score of 624. Caitlin Starrs of Wingate was the individual medalist after shooting rounds of 74 and 77.

The Cobras will now head into the offseason after three top-10 finishes in the fall. They will be back in action on Feb. 15 for the Converse Spring Invitational.
