Cobras In Fifth After Day One of Etowah Intercollegiate

ETOWAH, N.C. – The Coker College women's golf team is in fifth place after the first 18 holes of the Etowah Intercollegiate. They shot a team score of 344 in round one.

Taylor Demby signed off on an opening round of 78 to lead the way for the Navy and Gold. The round leaves her in third position individually. Bella Harris is in a tie for 18th place after a round of 85. Taylor Gaskins and Margaret Mills fired rounds of 90 and 91 on day one, while Ana Orlov carded a round of 94.

Lincoln Memorial University is atop the team leaderboard after a team round of 311. Sydney Gallant of LMU is the individual overnight leader after opening with a round of 75.

The Cobras will begin round two at 9:28 a.m. on hole 1 on the South Course at the Etowah Valley Country Club.
