Cobras Finish Seventh at Cutter Creek Invitational

SNOW HILL, N.C. – The Coker College women's golf team fired a final round score of 335 on Tuesday, (Sept. 8) leading to a 36-hole score of 676 and a seventh place showing at the Cutter Creek Invitational.

Taylor Gaskins led the way for the Cobras, earning a top-25 finish after a round of 83 on day two. She finished with tournament score of 163. Ana Orlov shot a two-day score of 167 after a final round 86. She finished in a tie for 28th in her collegiate debut. Tensley Clowser's round of 82 was the low round of the day for the Navy and Yellow. She would finish with a 36-hole score of 170. Bella Harris rebounded with a final round 84, which left her with a tournament score of 176. Meg Mills rounded out the Coker starting five with a closing round of 97 and a two-day total of 191.

UNC Pembroke took home the team title after team scores of 310 and 306, leading to a 616 two-day total. Meghan Holbrooks of Pfeiffer University was the low medalist with tournament score of 148 after rounds of 73 and 75.

The Cobras will take a brief break before returning to the course on Sept. 21 for the Etowah Intercollegiate in Etowah, N.C.
